Day 167/175

As we are winding down on our last few days of school... we have finished off all our curriculum.. just finishing our days with some field trips, and such. 
Today we did 4H... We made Safety Goggles with 2 liter bottles. (I know your dying to know how that was done.. pictures to come) and learned the history of them. 

Then each child Read for 30 mins, and we went to the library.. 

Day 166/175

We studied the history of Safety Glasses... 

Did some gardening.. planted our Broccoli, Turnip, Rutabaga, onions, carrots, Swiss chard, and spinach.

We reviewed some spelling for each of them that they have had trouble with over the year.. 

Watch a couple Documentaries from National Geographic on Netflix. 

Day 165/175

Today we had Science Class... 

We learned about acids and how they clean pennies, and make them shiny... We tried it with Vinegar, Lemon Juice, and Orange Juice.. We turned some blue/green.. 

Then we watched a 30 min video on Rome again... Got some ideas for our upcoming Educational Fair.. 

Day 164/175

Today we had another Field Trip.. 

We had a class about Geography... 
The kids learned about states, rivers, mountains, and oceans.. by using a huge map on the floor. Then put the states on it, in a big puzzle. 

Then they learned about stories about Cinderella from around the world. How different cultures portrayed the story differently. 

They had a really good time.. as soon as I get pictures off my phone, I will post them.

We went on a field trip today!! 

Where?? We went to see a play... called "Skippy John Jones"! 
Oh my goodness, this was absolutely hilarious! This was really cute! The kids loved it.. and I will post pictures later, since I don't have access to them right now. (My laptop is dead)
